The Old Rectory

This particular client had already employed the services of a professional designer to help create their dream garden.

When it came down to the execution of their plans however, they decided to swap the ornamental pond for a swimming pool and then take what was going to be a Victorian greenhouse and use it to house the changing rooms, behind which we could conveniently disguise the pool’s pump house and the irrigation system for the lawns.

This project developed as we got more and more involved and our final input included the creation of interesting meandering paths, the planting of decorative hedging, the construction of a beautiful oak pergola and even the provision of symmetry in the views from the orangery , bringing together the overall ‘balance’ which the client had wanted to achieve.
